E Hāpai Manaʻo! Raise Your Ideas!

On Saturday, March 20, 2021, the ʻōpio (youth) of Kaʻala Farm's K.A.A.L.A. (Kaʻala Aloha ʻĀina Leadership Academy) program organized a major clean up of the single lane portion of Waiʻanae Valley Road, an area that is surrounded by a plethora of historically and culturally significant sites. Droves of people came from all around Oʻahu to answer this call to aloha ʻāina, and after a long days work, over a decades worth of ʻōpala and filth was removed from the ʻāina!

To ensure that our combined efforts on Lā Kōkua Kaʻala were not in vain, Kaʻala Farm, Inc. is currently in the process of planning to facilitate a community discussion to brainstorm the best ways to prevent illegal dumpers, car thieves, drug users, arsonists, and other ill intentioned individuals from desecrating the upper regions of Waiʻanae Valley Road.

If you are interested in lending your manaʻo (thoughts) and/or leo kākoʻo (voice of support) in the continued effort to reclaim our sacred spaces, please, sign up by filling out this form!
