Kaʻala Farm, Inc. KFI is a non-profit organization that provides cultural and environmental educational programs in the upper Waiʻanae valley for school children, families, and interested groups. The organization grew out of a community vision firmly rooted in the large cultural kīpuka that is Waiʻanae and has dedicated over 30 years to creating additional kīpuka – places where our ancestral knowledge lives on through youth, where thriving ahupuaʻa are living examples of healthy, maintained watersheds, and where our Hawaiian traditions are carried forth in a way that makes our people and our communities strong.

In order to accomplish our mission, maintaining our cultural learning center is of utmost importance, and with limited staff and resources, we greatly rely on the laulima (many hands) of volunteers to keep the farm up and running.
